Oxford Concert Party & Summer Plans

Whether you’ve a regular or are a newcomer, welcome to the Aboyne and Deeside Festival 2026 Season!

Unusually we have our first Festival event in March this year. The Oxford Concert Party have had a long association with the Festival over thirty years. One of the founders of the Festival was Rosemary Millington and this year OCP will perform a Tribute to Rosemary Millington at the Victory Hall in Aboyne. OCP six musicians are Europe’s only Baroque and Tango Orchestra! There is information about Rosemary's amazing life in the menu above.

Festival 2026 will include a number of new types of event, but as always, there will be the firm favourites - including classical, folk, contemporary music, talks, film and theatre.

This year, the well-loved regulars return in Illyria's outdoor theatre performance on the Aboyne Green of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. The Old Blind Dogs are playing at Tornaveen Hall and FLaG Trio will be performing at Birse and Feughside Church. Sopranaria comprising Moira Docherty, Barbara Scott and Robert Duncan will present a selection of art song and popular opera duets. Given the success of In Transit in 2025 they will be playing this year at the Victory Hall in Aboyne. These are just a selection of the planned events. The full brochure will be available in local outlets and online in May.

As always, a big shout out to the Aboyne Highland Games Committee for allowing the us to use The Green for the outdoor theatre event during Games Week.

We look forward to seeing you at as many events as you can squeeze in over the summer of 2026…. and remember - without you, there is no festival!
